First Five

Market survey · August 2026

What med spa AEO agencies actually charge.

We looked at twenty-seven agencies selling AI visibility to med spas. Six publish a price. The other twenty-one want a call first. Here is everything that is public, including ours, on the same terms.

6 with published pricing

The numbers that exist.

  1. citelayer $14 scan · $151 audit One-off audit Cheapest entry point found. A scan, not an engagement.
  2. CiteLocal $49/mo Monitoring Tracks mentions. Does not do the remediation work.
  3. Oracite $500/mo Retainer Lowest published retainer in the survey.
  4. First Five $1,500 one-time · $1,200–2,100/mo Project, then optional retainer Ours. Published in full on the pricing page.

21 quote-only

The ones that will not say.

Not an accusation — quote-based pricing is normal in agency work, and several of these are good firms. But it is worth knowing how many there are before you assume a call is the only way to find out what something costs.

We publish ours for two reasons. It lets you disqualify us without a call — which saves everyone time — and pages containing real numbers get cited by AI engines more readily than pages that talk around them. That second reason is the whole business, so it would be strange not to apply it here.

Three models

What you are actually buying.

Scanners · $14–49

Tell you whether you are named. Do none of the work to change it. Useful as a thermometer, not a treatment.

Projects · $151–4,995

Fixed scope, fixed price, a finish line. Suits the fact that claiming and correcting listings genuinely ends.

Retainers · $500–3,000/mo

Ongoing. Justified when there is genuinely recurring work — ads, content, new locations. Questionable when there is not.

Before you sign anything

Five questions worth asking.

Ask these of us too. If an agency cannot answer them plainly, that is the answer.

  1. 01 What exactly will you claim or correct, and where?Separates the agencies doing directory and entity work from the ones only writing content.
  2. 02 Which engines do you measure, and how many times per prompt?A single run tells you almost nothing — outputs vary between runs. Three is the practical minimum.
  3. 03 Do I get the raw log, or a summary?A summary cannot be checked. A log of every prompt, answer and cited source can.
  4. 04 Who owns the listings and ad accounts? If the agency holds them, leaving costs you the asset you paid to build.
  5. 05 What happens in month four, when the listings are all claimed?Much of this work genuinely finishes. An agency with no answer is selling you a subscription to a completed project.
